Dr. Czyz received his medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his ophthalmology residency at Doctors Hospital. He subsequently completed two fellowships through Plastic Surgery Ohio and the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.

Dr. Czyz is currently a Professor of Ophthalmology, Chair of the Department of Ophthalmology, and Section Chief of Oculofacial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Ohio University/OhioHealth Doctors Hospital. He also serves as Program Director for the OhioHealth Grant Medical Center Ophthalmic Trauma and Emergency Care Fellowship and is faculty for the Ophthalmic Surgeons and Consultants ASOPRS Fellowship Program.

Dr. Czyz has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed journal articles and 40 textbook chapters. His research interests include functional and cosmetic oculofacial plastic surgery, trauma, and emergent care delivery. He also serves on the Board of Trustees of the American Board of Facial Cosmetic Surgery.
