Jill A. Foster, MD
Dr. Foster graduated Summa Cum Laude from Augustana College before she obtained her medical degree from the University of Illinois Medical School (graduated with honors). Dr. Foster completed her ophthalmology residency there before completing a fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Foster is a fellow of the American Board of Ophthalmology, the American College of Surgeons, and the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. She is the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Baylis Award for outstanding accomplishments in Cosmetic Surgery, and the Resident Teaching Award at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. She has been listed as one of America’s Top Doctors for over 25 years.
Dr. Foster is an Associate Clinical Professor at the William H. Havener Eye Center at The Ohio State University and the section chair of Oculoplastic Surgery at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and the Vice Chair of Ophthalmology at Doctor’s Hospital. Her expertise spans a wide array of topics with special interests in Facial Cosmetic Surgery and Pediatric Oculoplastics.
Dr. Foster is also a foundational leader behind this educational initiative. Over many years, she has strongly advocated for the project, helped secure grant funding through the ASOPRS Foundation, and played a key role in bringing exceptional surgeons and collaborators into the effort. Her leadership and support have been pivotal in shaping the platform into a free educational resource for residents, fellows, and practicing physicians nationwide.
